SOUTH BEND – The Downtown South Bend Holiday Pop-Up Shop program this year will include a pop-up theater with the opening of Studio 217. The Acting Ensemble will perform a variety of events through December for all ages. It is located at 217 S. Michigan St.l
The studio opens at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, with “H is for Hoosier,” by Cynthia Furlong Reynolds. It is part of the Acting Ensemble's Imagination series that brings stories to life suitable for children preschool age to second grade.
On Nov. 18 will be “Old Man Rabbit's Thanksgiving Dinner,” by Carolina Sherwin Bailey; on Dec. 1 with “The Great Adventures of Mrs. Santa Claus” by Sarah Addington; and on Dec. 15 with “Peter Rabbit's Christmas,” by Duff Graham.
A special Reader's Theater Performance of Truman Capote's “The Thanksgiving Visitor,” will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18.
