Sullair to move HQ to Michigan City

MICHIGAN CITY – Sullair Corp. has announced it will move its world headquarters to Michigan City and invest $12.7 million in its operation there for new equipment. By 2015, Sullair said it will create 113 new jobs.

President Henry Brooks said the move was made possible with an $800,000 in tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corp., $75,000 in employee training grants as well as tax benefits available through the Michigan City Urban Enterprise Association.

Sullair was founded in Michigan City in 1965 and manufactures portable air compressors, compressed air treatment equipment, vacuum systems and air tools. The company also has manufacturing plants in Huntington, Bloomington and Indianapolis in Indiana, and in China and Australia.

Sullair is owned by United Technologies.
