VALPARAISO – WorkOne will present the Northwest Indiana Workforce Board’s 2010 State of the Workforce Report starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Strongbow Inn, 2405 E. U.S. 30, Valparaiso.
The report will highlight industries that are surviving and those that are reinventing themselves. Workforce development experts will talk about the skills that need to be filled.
In addition, the report will look at ways to reduce the expected 3,600 high school dropouts over the next four years and the 50,000 adults who are falling below basic literacy skills.
