South Shore PR celebrates

South Shore Public Relations solidified its roots in Michigan City with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 21.

The woman-owned public relations firm hosted the celebration in partnership with the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce.

“It’s exciting to see South Shore Public Relations celebrate its presence in Michigan City,” said Kurt Gillins, Michigan City Chamber of Commerce president, in a press release. “As a chamber board member, owner Jackie Thomas leads by example. She’s investing locally and helping strengthen the business community.”

Thomas has worked in the industry for over 20 years. She volunteers at local nonprofits and has served on the boards of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce and Dunebrook.

Thomas established South Shore PR to help local businesses and non-profits looking to build a stronger presence. The firm frequently undertakes pro bono work.

“We could not be happier to be a key partner in the growth of Michigan City,” Thomas said. “From volunteering our time as a company to donating our work to nonprofits, we believe in giving back. When small businesses and nonprofits thrive, our entire community thrives, and this is what drives our mission as a firm every day.”

Founded in May 2023, the Michigan City-based agency provides public relations, media training, branding, website development, integrated marketing campaigns and short-form video production.
