HAMMOND – Research reported in an article written by two Purdue University Calumet professors and a colleague that was published recently in the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies has been cited as research of note by a prominent consulting firm.
In their article, “Founder-CEOs, External Board Appointments, and the Likelihood of Corporate Turnaround in Declining Firms,” assistant professor of strategy Arifin Angriawan and assistant professor of entrepreneurship Derek Ruth, and professor Michael Abebe of the University of Texas-Pan American advance the notion tha5t declining firms led by CEOs who hold board appointments with other companies are more apt to experience recovery than struggling firms who leaders are less connected externally.
Angriawan of Dyer has taught at Purdue Calumet since 2007. He holds degrees from Universitas Persada Indonesia, Wichita State University and Southern Illinois University.
