NFP acquires Miller Insurance Group

New York-based NFP acquired benefits agency Miller Insurance Group, which has several offices in Indiana.

NFP's strategic plan includes expanding its property and casualty brokerage services in Indiana. It also acquired Indianapolis-based First Person, an employee benefits brokerage firm, in 2021.

Miller Insurance Group Chairman Greg Miller will join NFP as a senior vice president. He will report to Amanda Ruback, property and casualty managing director of NFP's central region. Miller Insurance Group co-owners Christian Barnes, Joe Stiles, Chad Miller and Ben Nehls will become NFP vice presidents and report to Greg Miller.

“With their outstanding reputation and loyal customer base across Indiana, they will help us continue to grow our strong commercial P&C presence in the state,” Ruback said in a press release. “We're welcoming talented new team members with exceptional expertise and middle-market experience who will partner well with our existing team in Indiana.”

Miller Insurance Group has locations in Bremen, Culver, Wakarusa, Plymouth and Indianapolis.

NFP, which is an Aon company, also acquired City Securities Insurance, a full-service commercial P&C insurance consultant, in 2017. NFP has 7,700 employess in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
