The Women’s Diagnostic Center in Munster received a boost from Illiana Heating & Air Conditioning to help uninsured women cover some of their medical expenses.
Company representatives, Kevin Frump, general manager Kevin Frump and installation manager, Dan Krygsheld, recently presented a $4,650 donation to Dr. Mary Nicholson, medical director of the Women’s Diagnostic Center. The funding is earmarked for uninsured patients in need of diagnostic imaging.
Every October, which also is Breast Cancer Awareness month, Illiana Heating & Air Conditioning, holds a fundraiser to help uninsured women access quality breast imaging care. Proceeds from installs and service calls during the month go to an account set up through Community Hospital to help women receive diagnostic imaging at the Women’s Diagnostic Center.
“Early detected breast cancers can be treated very successfully, and this funding enables us to serve many with the care they need,” Nicholson said. “We strive to ease our patients’ minds, alleviate their stress and fear, and replace it with confidence in high quality care that’s close to home.”
The Krygshelds have provided donations to the Women’s Diagnostic Center through their October fundraisers since 2011.
