A $3,000 donation from Franciscan Health Michigan City was put to good use by the Michigan City Fire Department.

Representatives from the fire department recently visited the Michigan City Franciscan hospital to demonstrate a set of rescue jacks for their newest rescue vehicle. The jacks are used to stabilize cars and trucks during extraction.

Michigan City Fire Chief Randy Novak and Deputy Chief Jeff Cox were among the fire department staff who visited the hospital to thank Franciscan Health Michigan City President/CEO Dean Mazzoni for the donation.
