Kruggel Lawton adds 5 accountants

SOUTH BEND – The CPA firm of Kruggel, Lawton, & Company, LLC, has announced the addition of several new staff accountants to their South Bend and Elkhart teams.

“We continue to experience strong growth as we expand client relationships in the Michiana area,” said Douglas Osthimer, chief executive partner. “Our reputation as the largest locally owned accounting firm is attracting great people and I’m delighted to welcome our latest team members.”

Joining Kruggel Lawton’s South Bend office are Amy Miller and Nick Mitchell. New additions to Kruggel Lawton’s Elkhart office include Tim Mohney, Lenndra Helm, and Courtney Comer.

Amy Miller has 13 years of public accounting experience, including as an audit manager with BKD in Indianapolis. Originally from Hudsonville, Mich., she received a B.S. in accounting from Hope College.

Nick Mitchell holds a B.S. in accounting from Indiana University-South Bend. He gained one year of professional accounting experience while serving as an intern at Better World Books in Mishawaka.

Tim Mohney received his B.S. in accounting from Purdue University. He has just over five years of public accounting experience, along with controllership experience with a local home builder.

Lenndra Helm comes from Ocala, Fla., where she spent over seven years doing client accounting and tax preparation work for a local CPA firm. Helm has associate degrees in accounting technology and business administration from the College of Central Florida and has started working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Governors University.

Courtney Comer has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Indiana Wesleyan University. She gained internal audit experience during her summer 2011 internship with Lincoln Financial Group in Fort Wayne.
