SOUTH BEND – Jordan Ford has been honored by Ford Motor Co. for being a Ford franchise for 50 years.

Jordan, which opened on Sept. 22, 1961, was the largest volume Ford dealer in the United States in 2010 and has been among the top three for most of the last 20 years.

The dealership sold more than 50,000 vehicles last years, many of the through fleet sales.
