Ivy Tech Community College named Linda Calvin vice president for information technology.
She begins the role April 1. She takes over for Matt Etchison, who became the college’s chief information technology officer in December.
Calvin currently serves as senior IT manager, web/mobile at Stanley Security, a division of Stanley Black & Decker.
Calvin will provide leadership in the development of quality standards and consistency in academic courses, training, and other programs to serve the information technology sector. This position is part of the workforce alignment senior leadership team.

In Calvin’s current role at Stanley Security, she leads a global team of business, consultants, and IT professionals to develop web and mobile solutions to retain customers, increase adoptions, meet regulatory requirements, generate leads and decrease call volumes to customer service.
Calvin is a board member for The Gifted Gown and a volunteer guardian ad litem for Kid Voice of Indiana. She has a law degree from Indiana University School of Law and a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from Butler University.
