Near North Title Group of Carmel has acquired Heartland Title.
Heartland will continue operating from its Merrillville office.
“This consolidation is part of Near North’s long-term corporate growth strategy to expand into new markets,” said CEO Daniel Fowler. “(It) represents an important development opportunity to make our services more widely available throughout the state of Indiana and beyond its borders.”
He said adding a Northwest Indiana office to Near North Title Group Midwest bridges a gap between its central Indiana and southern Michigan markets.
Dan Rohaley with Heartland Title has known Fowler for years.
“Given Near North’s reputation in the industry there is no one else I would have partnered with to increase the level of resources and expertise for our clients,” Rohaley said.
Heartland Title will become part of a network of more than 25 locations.
