Tania Bengtsson of Gibson, a South Bend-based insurance broker, has been promoted to SME practice leader.

Bengtsson will bring together four of the company’s business units, select business solutions, employee benefits, business insurance, and personal insurance into one practice.

Bengtsson joined Gibson in 2004 as the director of marketing and added innovation to her title. She was awarded a seat on the firm’s board of directors in 2015 and joined the leadership team in 2016. 

Gibson is a regional insurance broker, risk management services firm and HR platform provider. The company has offices in South Bend, Plymouth, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Elkhart and Kalamazoo, Mich.
