First Merchants Bank sponsored the Annual Highland Friendship Race in July. In addition to the sponsorship, a team of volunteers helped register participants and handout their shirts and bibs for the race.
The money raised from this event is going to help implement kids running programs in local communities and schools, and the race organizers will be providing running guides and supplies, and t shirts for the participating kids.
What a wonderful initiative First Merchants! With obesity in schools and many schools cutting PE programs–it is great to see businesses in the community step up and help fund much needed fitness programs.
