EDCMC Celebrating Business Investments with Awards Dinner

Northwest Indiana Business News LogoMICHIGAN CITY – The Economic Development Corporation Michigan City (EDCMC) will be hosting its 2018 Business Investment & Anniversary Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 17th, 2018 at the Blue Chip Casino Hotel & Spa in Michigan City.  The dinner event, which is held every two years, recognizes local companies that have made substantial investments in their business during 2016 and 2017, as well as, honors businesses who are celebrating special anniversaries.

The event is part of EDCMC’s ongoing business retention efforts which helps support and retain existing businesses and acknowledge their new investments in the community. Simultaneously, the event also recognizes new companies who have located to Michigan City and made new investments. “The EDCMC is proud to be recognizing 14 businesses for their investments and 6 businesses reaching significant anniversaries.  We look forward to celebrating their successes and working with them in the future”, said Clarence Hulse, EDCMC Executive Director.

Keynote speaker for the evening will be Becky Frankiewicz, President of ManpowerGroup North America (Pictured).  Becky is a high energy, dynamic leader who has strong experience with large and complex global businesses.  She is an effective people developer and is actively sought after as a manager, mentor, and speaker. The EDCMC is happy to have her join us this year to speak on the future of workforce.

Companies receiving Business Investment Awards include: Michigan City Paper Box, Williams National Lease, Sullair- a Hitachi Group, Impreglon, SERA Solutions, LEFCO, Vanair, Michigan City Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram, Cool Runnings, Holladay Properties, Reprographic Arts, Sonic Restaurant, and Edgewood Dental.
