Merrillville-based Centier Bank announced the following staff appointments and promotions at its Northwest Indiana and Elkhart area operations.
Kari Bennett was promoted to mortgage loan officer, vice president in Valparaiso. Bennett joined Centier’s mortgage team in April 2001.
Ryan Bender was promoted to assistant vice president, mortgage loan officer in Elkhart. He is a Purdue University graduate who joined Centier’s mortgage department in 2014 after spending 15 years in the banking industry.
Sabrina Kiser was promoted to assistant vice president, branch manager of the bank’s Merrillville location. Kiser joined Centier in 2006 as a primetime banker before taking on the role of operations manager, and later as assistant branch manager. She has served as the branch manager of the bank’s Crown Point Strack and Van Til location as well as the bank’s Southlake location since 2019.
Melanie Curry was promoted to manager of the Gary Glen Park branch at 4883 Broadway in Gary. Curry joined Centier in 2019 after spending 20 years serving in banking and customer service roles.
Marie Mitchell was named branch manager at the Gary downtown branch. Mitchell joined Centier in 2008 after working several years in the financial industry. Prior to working in banking, she served in customer-facing roles in the hospitality and nonprofit industries. Mitchell has served as the branch manager at Centier’s Gary Glen Park branch since 2014 and Merrillville Strack and Van Til branch since 2021.
Chuck Dayton was promoted to vice president, mortgage loan officer. Dayton joined Centier in 2001 working as a branch associate before joining bank’s mortgage department. He works primarily in Portage, Valparaiso, and Hobart.
Jason Harris was promoted to vice president, community lender manager. Harris joined Centier in 2007 in the Merrillville-based client service center. Upon graduating from Indiana University Northwest, he was promoted to assistant branch manager of Centier’s Gary Glen Park location, later becoming a community lender serving Gary.
Centier Bank has more than 60 locations around Indiana, serving in 11 counties with more than 900 employees and nearly $6 billion in assets.
