SOUTH BEND – Allegiant Airlines has added a flight at South Bend Regional Airport.

Director Mike Daigle said the twice-weekly flight will connect South Bend to the Punta Gorda Airport in Florida starting June 27.

Allegiant already has flights to Orlando and St. Petersburg/Clearwater in Florida, along with Las Vegas and Phoenix, Ariz.

Daigle said the two flights could generate 20,000 passengers a year.
