HAMMOND – Three legends of the South Shore will be inducted on Thursday, Dec 17 at 5:30 pm at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond. Awardees are selected by a panel of judges representing the 7-counties of northwest Indiana. Legends are chosen based on the four values: courage, exploration, creativity and innovation. The 11th Annual Souuth Shore Legends Induction ceremony will also honor an additional Legends Scholar from one of our local universities.

The 2015 inductees that will be honored are: Gary Roosevelt and Crispus Attucks Basketball Teams of 1955; Lewis “Lew” Wallace and Fighting Hoosiers of the 20th Indiana Volunteer Infantry.
