Katie Rose Boutique has opened in Munster.

The women’s fashion boutique opened Saturday, Nov. 27, also referred to as Small Business Saturday, a movement meant to encourage people to shop independent stores versus buying items online or through national retail chains. The store is in the Centennial Village at 45th Street and Calumet Avenue.

“I am so excited to bring this elevated shopping experience to Munster,” said shop owner Monica Branchik. “We will feature clothing that will empower women to be confident and to express their unique styles.”

The name Katie Rose Boutique was inspired as a tribute to Branchik’s daughters Katelyn and Emma Rose who will occasionally visit the store with Buddy, the family’s golden retriever.

Katie Rose Boutique will offer a variety of merchandise including designer jeans, tops, artfully designed sweaters, casual dresses, and an assortment of jewelry and other fashion accessories. It will also have a special section for luxury dog apparel and toys.
