Holcomb appoints Natalie Bokota Lake County Superior Court judge

Natalie Bokota was appointed by Gov. Eric Holcomb Dec. 14 to succeed retiring Lake County Superior Court Judge Clarence Murray.

Bokota has served as a magistrate for the Lake County Superior Court since 2000. Murry is retiring from the post Dec. 31.

Bokota also assists in the oversight of the mental health court. Before serving as magistrate, Bokota served as a deputy prosecutor in the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office for nine years.

Bokota earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and a law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
