GARY – Gariup Construction received a $1.2 million contract as part of the $28 million overhaul of Marquette Park.
Gariup submitted a successful bid for site development, general trades, and masonry work on the Aquatorium. The contract was awarded by the Gary Board of Public Works and Safety.
City officials said they selected Gariup because it combined the three portions of the Aquatorium work into a single bid.
