SOUTH BEND – Baker & Rose café has opened at 121 S. Niles Ave. in South Bend.

The independent eatery hosted a ribbon cutting event on July 24.

“This is such an exciting time to be in downtown South Bend,” said co-owner Kevin Lawler. “There is so much positive momentum in this area. It's an honor to serve this community and to join such a vibrant mix of other small businesses.”

Co-owner Colleen Lawler said the community has responded well to the restaurant. 

“We knew that Baker & Rose had found a great home downtown,” she said.
