SOUTH BEND – The St. Joseph County Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a development project for South Bend’s West Side that will result in $2 million in improvements to the Martin’s Plaza on Western Avenue. A new roof will be added to the building, along with a new façade, new signs and new lighting.

SOUTH BEND – Efforts to sell the 25-story Chase Tower in downtown South Bend have moved ahead with a vote by the City Council on a resolution making the sale a top priority for the city. The building is owned by Huntington Bank, which told the council it has selected a bidder for the building.
