Senior living center to open in Schererville

SCHERERVILLE – Ground has been broken for Residences at Deer Creek, a senior living community at Deer Creek Professional Park. The 2.4-acre site will be home to 86 private assisted living and memory care units covering 80,000 square feet.  The units are expected to open in the fall 2012.      

Vanair announces $1 million expansion

MICHIGAN CITY – Vanair Manufacturing Inc. is expected to announce soon that it will invest $1 million to expand its manufacturing plant by 30,000 square feet. The project is expected to add 20 jobs. Vanair produces customized work trucks for municipalities, railroads, manufacturers and other customers around the United States.
