GARY – Powers & Sons Construction Co. of Gary has been named one of the nation’s largest black-owned businesses by Black Enterprise magazine. The publication announced its 40th annual list of the nation’s largest black-owned companies.
In all, 230 companies were included in seven categories. Powers & Sons was ranked 70th in the Industrial/Service Companies category with nearly $40 million in revenue. Also included in the list was Lexus of Mishawaka, which was No. 55 among automobile dealers with $24.6 million in revenue.
