HIGHLAND – Prompt Ambulance Service of Highland has acquired the three Indiana locations of Keeney Ambulance and Transport Service. The acquisition price was not announced. Prompt acquired the operations in Rensselaer, Lafayette and Frankfort. Prompt said it plans to retain all 70 of Keeney’s employees. The acquisition puts Prompt into new areas in the state.
MUNSTER – Citizens Financial Bank reported a loss of $12.6 million in the fourth quarter, compared to net income of $918,000 a year ago. SOUTH BEND – A $14 million upgrade of the terminal at South Bend Regional Airport has been completed. The project took 27 months to complete, said John Schalliol, executive director of the airport. While he said the project won’t likely attract new airlines to the airport, he said the goal was to attract more passengers.
