Old National executive sets retirement date

After three decades, Jim Sandgren will retire from Old National Bancorp in April 2026.

He currently is the bank's commercial banking CEO, and also served as president, COO and southern region CEO before that.

“Serving alongside and partnering with Jim Sandgren for more than a decade has been one of the great privileges of my career,” said Jim Ryan, chairman and CEO, in a press release. “His unwavering commitment to our clients, our team, and our communities has established a standard of excellence that will stand as his legacy.”

Sandgren said it was a difficult decision to retire but ultimately it was time.

“There’s never a perfect time to step away when you absolutely love what you do and when you get to work alongside amazing, passionate people every day,” he said.

Old National Bank is headquartered in Evansville and has locations in Northwest Indiana.
