Lighthouse Autism Center announces expansion

Mishawaka-based Lighthouse Autism Center is opening two new centers in Hobart and La Porte.

Both locations will feature play-based spaces with bright colors and therapy materials. Families will have access to ABA therapy, speech therapy, autism diagnostic testing, parent support and pre-academic learning programs.

Autism affects 1 in 36 children in the United States, according to Autism Speaks. The national organization's statistics indicate the number of children diagnosed with autism is on the rise.

“We are so excited to bring Lighthouse Autism Center to Hobart and La Porte,” said Traci Meador, director of special programs and expansion operations, in a press release. “Expanding our presence in Indiana allows us to support more families and children on their autism journey.”

The new centers in Hobart and La Porte will begin serving families in Spring 2025.

Lighthouse Autism Center was founded in 2012 by parents of a child with autism. Today, the company operates a network of locations across multiple states. Lighthouse Autism Center serves children and families in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and North Carolina.
