MERRILLVILLE – A discussion with two of Indiana's top Democratic women, Sen. Vi Simpson and State Rep. Linda Lawson, will be held at The Patio in Merrillville at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
The Lake County Circle Evening Reception is a regular event hosted by the Lake County Democratic Central Committee and its chairman, Hammond Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr.
Lawson is a longtime Lake County resident and has worked in numerous capacities over her career. She is Minority Caucus Leader in the House.
Simpson, the nominee for lieutenant governor, is one of the state's most effective and respected leaders. She is one of the first women to serve on and eventually lead the State Budget Committee.
