Beacon Health System plans to start work this summer on a $21.7 million outpatient center in Mishawaka.
The 25,500-square-foot facility will include two levels and feature advanced imaging and physical therapy services, along with doctors' offices.
“This new location is driven by growing patient demand not only for care close to home, but also for convenient access to outpatient services, including physician visits, procedures, diagnostics and imaging,” said Diane Maas, chief strategy and digital growth officer, in a press release. “Building in the heart of downtown Mishawaka underscores our commitment to improving patient access and delivering convenient health care.”
The facility will be on the northeast corner of Lincoln Way East and Church Street in downtown Mishawaka, across from the library. Parking will be available between Main and Church streets.
“Beacon Health System’s state-of-the-art facility will not only bring essential health care services closer to our residents, but also revitalize a key corner of our city at Lincoln Way and Church Street,” said Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood. “We are committed to fostering a healthier community, and this outpatient center is a testament to our ongoing dedication to the well-being and prosperity of Mishawaka.”
Before construction can begin in September, the former PNC Bank and the Mishawaka Utilities business office building will be demolished in early August. The center is scheduled to be complete in early 2026.
