A new 8.5-acre sports complex recently opened in Crown Point.

The facility has a clubhouse with areas for athletes of all ages to train, recover and socialize. It also features cold baths, saunas, batting cages and a baseball simulator.

The sports hub has a “bubble” indoor field for baseball and softball instruction, camps and team practices. The coaching staff consists of current and former college and professional players.

Great Lakes Sports Hub is owned by Bobby and Gloria Morris. Bobby Morris is a former minor league baseball player and the current scouting coach for the Chicago Cubs. Gloria Morris is an entrepreneur who launched Float Sixty, a wellness studio in Chicago. Float Sixty now has four locations, two of which are in Northwest Indiana.

Gloria Morris’s journey into the business world started early. Her family owns John Cicco’s Menswear in Merrillville. She grew up watching her family run the business.

Great Lakes Sports Hub is at 1301 Merrillville Road in Crown Point. The facility offers one-month, seasonal and annual clubhouse pass options.
