Seth Keirns has only been with Ohio-based KeyBank for a few months and already has proven he can take on more responsibility.
He joined the bank in December 2022 as the market president for Fort Wayne. Now he will serve in that role for all of Northern Indiana.
Keirns is tasked with growing KeyBank's presence in the region. He also will continue to serve as commercial banking leader in Northern Indiana.
“Seth’s reputation and deep connections in Northern Indiana will be an important asset for our bankers and colleagues, positioning us for continued growth and community engagement,” said Julie Overton, KeyBank’s commercial banking leader in Indiana, in a press release.
Keirns has almost 20 years of experience in banking, including as executive director of middle-market banking for JPMorgan Chase in Fort Wayne, as well as positions at Tower Bank & Trust Co. and First Financial Bank. He also worked as an accountant.
Keirns also will partner with Juan Gonzalez, business banking sales leader and Central Indiana market president, on larger issues.
Keirns earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Indiana University. He also completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
KeyBank provides services to clients in 15 states at 1,000 branches, including in Elkhart, Goshen, Knox, Mishawaka and South Bend.
