The luncheon, which drew nearly 100 reservations, originally was planned for the Dynasty Banquet Hall in Hammond, but the chamber cancelled the event and instead will host a virtual program via Zoom and Facebook Live, the chamber said in a statement. The broadcast, which begins at noon, will be from Hammond City Hall, featuring a presentation from Mayor Thomas McDermott.
The chamber said individuals who made reservations for the event will be sent a Zoom invitation for viewing the “Lakeshore Chamber Luncheon with the Mayor.”
