The twenty-first annual Elvis FANtasy Fest will take place the weekend of October 11-13 at the Woodland Park Community Building, 2100 Willowcreek Road in Portage, Indiana. This year’s Elvis Fantasy Fest is themed “My Happiness” in honor of the record Elvis paid to cut at the famed SUN Studio in 1953. EFF celebrates the happiness Elvis brought people through his music and the happiness he brought to many through his charitable efforts. Part of the event proceeds will benefit Porter County Special Olympics.
Special Guest at the festival is Elvis’ own road manager and friend, Joe Esposito. Esposito met Elvis Presley in the Army. In 1960, when both were discharged, he accepted Elvis's offer of a job, becoming one of the “Memphis Mafia,” the inner circle of friends and employees who went virtually everywhere with the King until his death in 1977. Fans will have the opportunity to visit with Esposito over the weekend and he will host the Saturday night dinner provided by the Porter County Special Olympics.
Elvis memorabilia will be available along with an auction that will benefit the Porter County Special Olympics. We are so happy that the event is now part of the ElvisFestival.com series of events and we looking forward to continuing to work together as a community to celebrate Elvis the way the festival has for the past twenty-one years. The festival is licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. and takes place annually in Portage.
