Porter County’s Aging and Community Services’ ramp program was one of dozens across the Region that got a little extra help during the United Way’s annual Day of Caring on Aug. 9.
Porter County recently was awarded $77,000 by the federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program to support local food pantries and homeless shelter services.
