HealthLinc was one of eight health centers nationwide chosen by the National Association of Community Health Centers to participate in the 2026 Innovation Incubator cohort.
The program will help centers learn how to diversify financial support and remain sustainable for the long term. HealthLinc, which has headquarters in Valparaiso, also will receive $30,000 in seed funding.
“As funding pressures continue to impact community health centers, this opportunity gives us the tools and support to explore new revenue strategies and strengthen our financial sustainability,” said Melissa Mitchell, chief executive officer of HealthLinc, in a press release. “Participating in the Innovation Incubator will help us navigate ongoing funding challenges so we can continue providing care to the patients and communities who rely on us.”
More than 75 centers applied for the program.
The NACHC plans to share what the centers learn this year and create a blueprint for success.
Other organizations in the 2026 cohort include:
- Minnesota and North Dakota: Community Health Service Inc.
- Massachusetts: Family Health Center of Worcester
- Texas: AccessHealth
- Missouri: Hope Family Care Center
