Applications for funding through the City of Hammond’s Gaming Advisory Committee are available.
Funding is available to local not-for-profit organizations whose projects, activities and services provide direct benefit to the residents of Hammond. The Gaming Advisory Committee—comprised of a cross section of Hammond residents and city council members—oversees the distribution of funds. The committee is chaired by Scott Miller, mayor’s chief of staff.
In 2025, the Gaming Advisory Committee awarded over $400,000 to assist dozens of community organizations. The annual application process helps the committee evaluate proposed projects. Applicants may be asked to appear before the committee to further present their proposals.
This year, the city is moving toward a more technology-friendly and streamlined process. All applications may now be completed and submitted entirely online through the city’s website. Learn more here.
Applications must be received by Feb. 26, for funding consideration. If an organization’s request is accepted, funding would be available in June 2026.
