Para-transit gets $100,000 assist from RDA

CROWN POINT – The Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority has agreed to provide a matching grant of $100,000 to help maintain complementary para-transit services formerly provided by the Regional Bus Authority. The emergency request comes from a coalition including the Gary Public Transit Corp., North Township and the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission.
