EAST CHICAGO – Ameristar Casinos, which operates a casino and hotel in East Chicago, has been acquired by Pinnacle Entertainment of Las Vegas. The deal is worth $869 million. GARY – The Regional Development Authority is working with Gary officials to help finance the demolition of the former Sheraton Hotel in downtown.
