SCHERERVILLE – Avery-Dennison Corp.’s aluminum pigment production operation in Schererville has been sold to Eckart Effect Pigments of Wesel, Germany. Eckhart said the transaction will not affect the 40 workers at the Schererville plant, which will become the company’s third U.S. production facility. Eckhart has distributed Avery-Dennison’s aluminum pigments for more than 20 years.
SOUTH BEND – The University of Notre Dame has been awarded a $3.55 million research grant for nanotechnology that will be used in the next generation of high-speed computers.
