Larry Hitz, owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Executive Group Real Estate, said it was an easy choice to sell his 44-year-old real estate business to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Indiana Realty based in Indianapolis.
He and wife Heather wanted to stay within the Berkshire Hathaway brand, and they already knew Craig West, co-owner and chief executive officer of Indiana Realty.
“It was an easy choice and change for us,” Larry HItz said in a press release. “The culture and company of Indiana Realty just fits, and I am stepping into this new chapter by aligning with the best brokerage I could have found for our agents and clients.”
The Hitzes will continue to serve their clients as broker partners.
“Their reputation for integrity and client care aligns perfectly with our mission,” West said. “We look forward to continuing to build on their legacy of service throughout Northwest Indiana.”
Indiana Realty has a network of 15 offices and more than 400 agents throughout Indiana.
“This move isn’t about becoming something different,” Larry Hitz said. “It’s about continuing what we’ve always done, with the support of a team that shares our philosophy and culture.”
