HAMMOND – South Shore Sports Promotions has announced the 2012 National Softball Association Girls Fast Pitch “B” World Series will be held in Northwest Indiana the week of July 19 to 26.
The event will also return the region in2014.
Lake, Porte and LaPorte counties all benefited from the 2009 tournament. Events to mark the tournament opening were held in Michigan City and Crown Point.
The 2009 tournament had a significant economic impact on the region, said Jason Sands, director of sports development for the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority.
