Minneapolis St. Paul-based Priority Courier Experts is expanding its Indiana footprint with the acquisition of NOW Courier.

Priority Courier Experts provides same-day logistics services in the Midwest. The company is expanding its expedited freight and transportation services throughout the central United States.

“NOW Courier has a remarkable 38-year history and a dedicated team that has built strong relationships throughout Indiana and in the surrounding markets,” said Mark Cossack, Priority Courier Experts CEO, in a press release.

Cossack added that bringing NOW into the PCE family enhances the company’s geographic reach and unlocks new growth opportunities for local customers, employees and independent contractors.

Indianapolis-based NOW provides routed, dedicated, on-demand expedited and next day services throughout the state and in neighboring areas.

“I am excited for me and my team at NOW Courier to join forces with PCE and help bring new capabilities and solutions to the Indianapolis market,” Ryan Schwalbach, NOW Courier president, said. “The business has been in my family since 1986, so finding the right partner was critical as we look to our next phase of growth.”

This is the second add-on investment for Trident and Bluejay Capital Partners portfolio company Priority Courier Experts. Trident, a New York-based private equity firm, specializes in acquiring U.S.-based small businesses across the health care, consumer and industrial sectors. The firm primarily invests in family-owned businesses.

“The acquisition of NOW brings together two outstanding teams and represents a significant milestone in broadening our reach and enhancing value for both customers and stakeholders,” Ben Rosenbaum, Trident vice president, said. “We look forward to building on this momentum with growth into other high-potential markets in the future.”
