Midwest Training and Ice acquires facility

Midwest Training and Ice has completed the purchase of the athletic complex at 10600 White Oak Avenue in St. John.

The 77,688-square-foot complex is on 4.86 acres. It features a full ice rink with spectator seating and a 30,000-square-foot gymnastics center. The property has served as a destination for hockey programs, figure skating, cheer, parkour and training for athletes of all ages.

Midwest Training and Ice’s acquisition positions the organization to continue expanding its programs and strengthening its footprint within the Region’s athletic community.

“We had a ton of interest in the property, and the Midwest Training and Ice was the eventual purchaser,” said Aaron McDermott, Latitude Commercial co-founder and president, in a press release.

Crown Point-based Latitude Commercial represented the buyer and the seller in the transaction. Latitude Commercialprovides commercial real estate services such as purchasing, leasing, landlord representation, tenant representation and commercial property management throughout Indiana and Illinois.
