European Market opens in Chesterton

The Duneland Chamber of Commerce recently kicked off the 22nd season of the Chesterton European Market.

The market will run 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through October in downtown Chesterton.

The European Market offers artisan breads and pastries, cheeses, fresh meats, spices and oils. It also features locally crafted art, clothing, accessories, handcrafted jewelry and farm-fresh produce and flowers.

Guests can enjoy live performances by local musicians, organized by music sponsor Arrested Sounds.

“The European Market is more than a place to shop—it's a celebration of community,” said Maura Mundell, Duneland Chamber of Commerce president, in a press release. “We’re excited to welcome everyone back for another incredible season filled with local flavor, creativity and connection.”

The Duneland Chamber of Commerce serves the towns of Beverly Shores, Burns Harbor, Chesterton, Dune Acres and Porter. The chamber provides community-building events and educational programming and promotes economic development in the Duneland area.
