The British Swim School of North Lake County is slated to open March 2 in Munster.
The new facility will provide swim lessons to infants, children and adults. It offers programs for infants as young as three months to adults conquering a fear of water or mastering advanced techniques.
“We’re beyond excited to plant roots in Munster and introduce our proven swim programs to local families,” a British Swim School of North Lake County spokesperson said in a press release. “Our approach isn’t just about teaching strokes — it’s about creating a foundation of safety and confidence that lasts a lifetime.”
The new Munster location will feature year-round lessons in a warm, indoor pool. Lessons focus on water safety and survival skills before progressing to stroke development. Students are grouped by ability in small classes with trained teachers.
Virginia-based British Swim School has provided water survival education for over four decades. The company has locations across North America. The north Lake County team is planning to expand to additional locations across Northwest Indiana by the end of 2025.
