NWI business kicks off road trip

The Waxi Taxi, a regional business with locations across Lake, Porter and La Porte Counties, is hitting the road.

Founded 20 years ago, the mobile waxing studio is planning a series of pop-up events at colleges and universities across Indiana. The studio brings waxing services to clients. Waxi Taxi Goes To School will kick off in August, coinciding with the start of the school year.

“We are excited to bring safe, affordable, quality waxing solutions to sororities and college students. Group waxing events foster strong sisterhood bonds and provide smooth solutions for date parties and formals, too,” said Jeny Burkhart, The Waxi Taxi founder and CEO, in a press release. “We love giving back to the community, and this is such a fun way to do it. Beauty care should be accessible to all in a hygienic, friendly and cost-effective way.”

The Waxi Taxi is seeking sororities and college students interested in participating in the Waxi Taxi Goes To School pop-up events.
