Business owners Chelsea Whittington and Tiffany Blakemore are offering their Your Body, Your Brand workshop on March 30.

The event invites business owners and entrepreneurs to learn techniques to build their brands and lay the framework for a healthy lifestyle. The workshop focuses on health and fitness to balance running a business and personal well-being.

Whittington and Blakemore are offering the Your Brand, Your Body workshop after a three-year hiatus.

“I couldn’t be more excited to bring back this incredible partnership,” Whittington said. “We both work with business owners all the time, and they are looking for both branding and fitness solutions all the time.”

The workshop includes breakfast and lunch. Participants will also receive a gift bag and have a professional headshot taken.

Crystal Melton, city of Gary first lady, will kick off the event.

Panel discussions include:

  • A Chat with the COMMISH! City of Gary Health Commissioner Dr. Janet Seabrook will talk about health in the Region and answer general health questions.
  • Our Men and their Health! Fitness expert Saddiq Muhammed will discuss how men work out, eat and lose weight differently than women. Vitamin T Fitness client Phil Brown will share his personal journey.
  • Dealing with Grief Rebounding to Take Control of Mental and Physical Health: Bernadette Wright Lawrence of the Indiana Garza Fat Loss Camps will discuss the loss of her son in a car accident in 2021 and how she is turning her pain into purpose.
  • Planning the Ideal Event and How it Impacts your Brand: Keanna Barber of WDB Marketing, Merry Green of MGPG Events Inc. and Fabian Soul of Onyx Productions will discuss planning events to showcase brands.

The event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 30 at the YMCA in Gary. More information about tickets is available here.

The public is also invited to attend a vendor fair starting at noon. Area small businesses will be selling their products and showcasing their services. Whittington and Blakemore will lead workout demonstrations.

“It’s the perfect opportunity to see fitness in action while interacting with other brands that have a focus on wellness and self-care,” Blakemore said.

Whittington is the owner of C WHITT PR. Blakemore is the owner of Vitamin T Fitness. They both began expanding their business brands in 2020 while focusing on exercise and healthy eating.
