The Black Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Indiana will feature a panel discussion on funding opportunities during its annual convention June 16.
U.S. Rep. Frank Mrvan, who represents Indiana's first congressional district, will offer opening remarks to a three-part panel.
The discussion will include:
- Government funding opportunities, including federal programs, grants and resources that can help businesses grow.
- Financing options, including loans and investment opportunties
- How artificial intelligence can help business owners find funding, write grants and find opportunities
The afternoon will include networking and collaboration opportunities. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. June 16 at the Dean & Barbara White Community Center, 6600 Broadway, in Merrillville. The event starts at 1 p.m. Admission is $25. Register here.
“The annual convention brings together federal partners, economic development organizations and community-based projects to ensure the community is informed and prepared,” according to the chamber's website. “Through briefings and resource sessions, participants receive timely updates on current procurement opportunities, funding programs, and policy changes that impact small businesses, workforce initiatives and community development efforts.”
