Valparaiso-based United Way of Northwest Indiana is hosting its annual First-Time Homebuyer Fair on March 8.
The event will connect prospective buyers with real estate agents, lenders, home appraisers and other industry professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the home-buying process. The event is free and open to the public.
“At United Way Northwest Indiana, we understand that homeownership is not just about acquiring property — it’s about investing in a brighter future for families and communities,” said Chris White, United Way Northwest Indiana CEO, in a press release.
White said the homebuyer fair embodies the United Way’s commitment to equipping individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability and build generational wealth.
“We are thrilled to provide this platform for connecting residents with experts who can help make the dream of homeownership a reality,” White said.
Attendees will also be able to explore first-time homebuyer assistance programs and learn about financing options, down payment assistance programs and mortgage pre-approval.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 8 at NEO in Portage.
